Family Irish Night

Harney’s Academy of Irish Dance will be decked out in their elaborately-brocaded costumes and hairstyles and dancing the night away. To add to the evening, an expert bagpiper and tin-whistler will be playing his melodies for the crowd. There will be Irish foods, artifacts from Ireland, authors who have written about local Irish immigration and many other Irish surprises to celebrate one of this nation's most popular adotoped holidays.

The Walpole Recreation Department is hosting this beloved tradition on Saturday, May 19, 2012! The day will begin at noon with an old-fashioned parade including a grand marshal, marching bands, and fabulous floats all competing for a grand prize.

 After the parade, the festivities continue with a food court with local restaurants and caterers. There will be school and town groups with fundraising activities like face-painting, crafts, kids’ games, rides, and more. The music for the day will be performed by a Teen Band Showcase.

The elementary and middle schools, the high school grades, sports and youth organizations, town groups, businesses, families, neighborhoods, etc. are all invited to join us.

• PLATINUM LEVEL: $2,000 OR MORE: Your business/group’s name will be printed on all documents and signage, and will be displayed on the parade car carrying the grand marshal. You will also be recognized on the stage during the street dance and B-B-Q with a banner.
• GOLD LEVEL: $1,000 - $1,999: Your business/group’s name will be printed on all documents and signage, and will be displayed with a banner on the stage as a sponsor of the Walpole Teen Band Showcase.
• SILVER LEVEL: $500 - $999: Your business/group’s name will be printed on all documents and signage, and you will be recognized as the sponsor of Walpole Day Youth Activities.
• BRONZE LEVEL: $200 - $499: Your family’s name will be listed with other “Friends” in Walpole Day Guide that will be handed out to guests throughout the day.
• FRIENDS LEVEL: $25- $199: Thank you for your donation.
